After a quick 52 minute airline flight from home we arrived at Birmingham international airport right in the center of one of the most enormous hail thunderstorms I’ve seen in many years, it had been hitting the ceiling of our airline that hard I thought we were going to see sunlight by means of holes in the roof structure at any moment.

Luckily we did not need to clear customs as our flight journey seemed to be classed as domestic, so we were spared the honours on the usual twenty minute queue this time around. Everyone went out via the main gates and wandered right past an enormous line of terminal transfer airport taxis that were awaiting work, to the short stay car parking where we’d arranged for a Worcester Taxi to get us and drive us directly to The Worcester Paintings Gallery.

Our intending use the Worcester taxi airport service instead of jumping in a local cab in the air port, had been that we figured that by hiring the local Worcester taxi, the driver knows where exactly the Fine art gallery was in Worcester, whereas the Birmingham airport taxi driver could possibly not have a clue where he was searching for in the middle of Worcester.

After collecting the actual art work promptly, we headed outside where we had a Northampton taxi waiting to drive us directly to Delapre Abbey, just outside Northampton. Again, hiring a taxi local to our final destination, using the plan that the driver’s local experience will get us straight to the Abbey without any avoidable u turns or excursions.

Utilizing a Northampton Taxi also gave us a chance of quizzing the driver and discovering some of the finest local dining places to eat in, as well as exactly where the best shopping was.
